LitFest 2026

We were delighted to welcome an incredible line-up of authors and creatives to BCS, inspiring pupils through storytelling, creativity and a love of reading.

Former footballer turned award-winning writer Seth Burkett shared his fascinating journey from the pitch to the page with Years 6 and 7, while pupils also enjoyed a creative writing workshop.

Years 8 and 9 had the opportunity to hear from Carnegie Medal-winning historical fiction author Tanya Landman and acclaimed rap-poet Karl Nova, whose energetic performances and thought-provoking poetry captivated audiences throughout the day.
