Bournemouth Collegiate School is celebrating another year of exceptional A Level results, a testament to the talent, commitment, and hard work of both our pupils and dedicated staff.

This year, 83% of all A-Level grades were A*-C. Over half the A-Level grades were A*-B with a 100% pass rate. Exceptional subject performances this year include French and Further Mathematics, both achieving an outstanding 100% A*-A, and English Literature and Photography securing a remarkable 100% A*-B.

Continued success was achieved by pupils in Fine Art with 83% of grades at A*-B. Over a third of pupils achieved in A*-A in Mathematics and just under 70% of pupils achieved A*- B in Geography and Psychology.

Our pupils are now moving on to prestigious universities and colleges such as the University of Bristol, King’s College London, University of Glasgow, University College London and the University of Manchester, with 21% of university places at Russell Group universities.

These achievements reflect not only academic excellence but also the determination, resilience, and ambition that define the BCS community.

Head of Sixth Form, Lucy Beng said, “Another year of impressive results for BCS Sixth Form from top grades securing places at leading universities, to personal triumphs that represent significant progress and perseverance, every achievement is a cause for celebration.”

Principal, Maria Coulter commented, “We are immensely proud of our pupils, whose A Level results reflect not only academic excellence but also an extraordinary ability to balance multiple demands. Many have pursued elite-level sport, performing on national and international stages, whilst maintaining their focus and drive in the classroom. Their success is a testament to their discipline, time management, and the holistic support provided by our staff. These young people have shown that with determination and resilience, it is possible to thrive both academically and beyond.”

This year’s cohort includes pupils who have represented their country in athletics, competed in national championships, and led community initiatives - all while securing places at top universities, apprenticeship and employment.
