Q: What was your first impression of boarding at BCS?

A: It was really great, all the staff were so welcoming, and I made so many friends.

Q: How was your transition into boarding life?

A: It wasn’t that different from home. The only difference really is that I don’t have to wake up early because I live in the school.

Q: Did you have any big culture shocks when you arrived?

A: Not really but I think the people here are much more polite. Everyone here is so great at communication and so kind!

Q: Why did you and your parents choose BCS?

A: Because the school is so close to the sea which makes it so beautiful. It’s also not very big which was one of the main reasons.

Q: What subjects do you enjoy the most?

A: I really enjoy games because I can play tennis. Tennis is one of my passions and it’s so nice having time for it during the week.

Q: How have you found studying in English?

A: At first it was quite different and hard but it’s getting better by the day.

Q: What do you think you’ll miss the most when you leave?

A: Probably the small class sizes because in Germany the average class sizes are around 30 people in one class. It’s so nice being able to say my opinion without having to wait or be nervous.

Q: What’s something new you’ve learned about yourself while being at BCS?

A: Maybe that I can achieve everything even if I’m on my own in a different country with new people.

Q: What advice would you give to other people your age considering joining BCS?

A: Just try it out because you will have such a great time! If you have the chance just once in your life you should do it.
