Hot on the heels of another strong A Level performance, Bournemouth Collegiate School (BCS) is celebrating excellent GCSE results in 2025.
This year, pupils achieving grades 9 - 6 increased overall by 10 % from 2024 with 100% of pupils achieving 9 - 4 in English and more than half of the year gaining a grade 9 - 7. Over a third of Mathematics grades were 9 - 7 and 50% of pupils gained 9 - 7 in Biology and Physics. 100% of grades in Spanish were 9 and 8 and 63% of grades in French were 9 – 7 - this follows on from the excellent results achieved at A Level in languages.
Principal Maria Coulter commented:
"We are absolutely delighted with this year’s GCSE results. They reflect not only the hard work and determination of our pupils, but also the deep commitment we have to nurturing every individual. At BCS, success isn’t just measured in grades - it’s about helping each pupil grow in confidence, discover their strengths, and feel truly supported. Many pupils achieved top grades alongside high level sporting and performing arts success, we celebrate every journey this is evidenced in the value added scores achieved by many pupils, that’s what makes this community so special.”
Assistant Head Amy Bailey added:
“I could not be more thrilled for our Year 11 pupils. They faced their examinations demonstrating resilience and determination, and today’s GCSE results are a testament to their hard work and character. It has been inspiring to watch them grow and achieve whilst they supported one another along the way. They have shown great ambition and dedication, and I am excited to see them thrive as they take their next steps. I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them and they should feel proud of themselves for what they have accomplished.”
