COURSE OVERVIEW

This A-Level covers four themes across social issues and trends, as well as aspects of the political and artistic culture of France or Spain. 

Students will study either two pieces of literature or one piece of literature and one film.

Pupils will also have the possibility of working abroad.

 

Assessment structure

Paper 1: Listening, reading and translation                      

Paper 2: Written response to works and translation        

Paper 3: Speaking                                                           

 

What can pupil’s study next?

There are a wide range of courses available at university.

You could study a dedicated language degree or alternatively you can study courses such as business with a language. 

Speaking more than one language increases your marketability in higher-education and beyond.
