Bournemouth Collegiate School (BCS) hosted its annual Songs from the Shows concert for the first time at St Peter’s Church, Poole, on Wednesday 15th October.

The event brought together pupils from both the Prep and Senior Schools for an evening celebrating musical theatre and the performing arts. The new venue provided an inspiring setting for a programme that highlighted the talent, dedication, and creativity of BCS pupils across all age groups.

Performers presented a varied selection of songs from well-known musicals, impressing the audience with their confidence, teamwork, and musicality. The concert was warmly received by families, friends, and staff, who filled the church to enjoy the occasion.

Head of Senior, Helen Pike, said:

“The evening was a true celebration of our pupils’ commitment and enthusiasm for performance. Hosting Songs from the Shows at St Peter’s Church for the first time made the event particularly special, and we were immensely proud of how our pupils rose to the occasion.”

Revd Michael Trotman said:

“We love developing creative partnerships in our community, and it was a real joy to welcome Bournemouth Collegiate School to St Peter’s. The students were absolutely brilliant – full of energy, talent, and enthusiasm. It was a wonderful reminder of how music brings people together.”

Songs from the Shows continues to be a highlight of the school’s performing arts calendar, embodying BCS’s ethos of encouraging confidence, collaboration, and creativity in every pupil.
