Providing the Energy to Perform

Creating Great Tasting Recipes

Great Tasting Healthy Foods

Combining Traditional and Authentic Cuisine

Food & Menus

Chartwells Independent at BCS starts and ends with enjoyment, cooking great tasting healthy foods. With our dedicated team this happens every day in the dining hall, parent’s days, end of year celebrations and fund raising events.

As children develop into young adults and start to play sports seriously the correct food and nutrition is vital in giving them the energy to perform on the sports field as well as the classroom.

Our chefs have an extensive bank of recipes developed uniquely for independent schools and also have the skills to develop individual menu plans to suit any dietary needs.

Breakfast sees a variety of choice ranging from a selection of hot protein options, fruit, yoghurt bar and traditional cereals and pastries.

Tuck shop is a mid-morning opportunity to purchase healthy snacks

Lunch is a traditional menu and reflects seasonal hot & cold choices.

Supper has a homelier relaxed feel combining traditional and authentic cuisine with homemade bread, salad bar and a selection of desserts for the pupils to enjoy. We also run food workshops where the pupils can get involved with creating great tasting recipes that they can share with their friends and fellow boarders.

Theme nights are a great hit and enjoyed by all with pupils and chefs working together to create authentic cuisine nights from around the globe.
