Every year BCS supports YMCA Bournemouth for their outstanding work with the local homeless community, through fundraising at school. To keep us connected during home learning, we brainstormed the best ways to keep the community spirit alive whilst also keeping active - what better way to do this than to attempd to walk around the world! This in fact takes 50 million steps, which split between pupils and staff equivelates to 10,000 steps a week (not a hard task for older pupils, but perhaps our youngest year groups may rise to the challenge!).

Thank you to all families who submitted their steps and helped us to walk around the world. Here are the BCSteps Prep winning step counts:

1st Place - Tallulah & Harry (Year 3 and 5) with 500,000 steps each

2nd Place - Massimo (Year 2) with 343,996 steps

3rd Place - Amy (Year 2) with 259,360 steps

4th Place - Maddie (Year 6) with 238,266 steps

5th Place - Asher (Reception) with 80,000 steps

Well done to all our winners, and thank you for walking, jumping, skipping and running your way to 50 million BCSteps around the world! The winners were awarded a YMCA prize voucher and goodie bag to enjoy after a busy week at school.
