This week, BCS pupils have been enjoying a variety of activities in the run up to Chinese New Year, the Year of the Dragon.
BCS Boarders took great interest in writing the spring couplets in both Chinese and English to convey their best wishes for the coming new year.
Our school MFL department invited Bournemouth and Poole Chinese Angel Arts Association to perform the traditional Chinese Happy Song and Dance, the Taiji Fan show and a sign language song called A Thankful Heart. Some pupils such as Helen, Joshua, Kunmi, Oscar Li and Zoe sang the Chinese song, Jasmine Flower.
Pupils also won prizes by answering the quizzes about Chinese New Year. In the end, everyone received a fortune cookie treat. It was wonderful to see all pupils enjoy a snapshot into Chinese culture!
