At BCS we have a well-equipped Medical Centre that is run by two qualified Nurses. The Medical Centre is open from 8.15 to 4.15 from Monday to Friday, where the Nurses are on hand to care for Day Pupils, Boarding Pupils, Staff & Visitors, whether they have an illness, incident, accident, injury or just a question to ask. The Nurses sole purpose is to be here to care……
From the expected, like putting on a plaster, taking a temperature, giving medicine or tying a sling to the unexpected, like taking a blood sample, giving advice, offering a listening ear or just a simple shoulder to cry on.
Together with Mrs Evans, the school Counsellor (who is at BCS on Wednesdays & Fridays), we offer a confidential, safe, usually quiet place to come if you need help whilst you are at BCS
Mrs Vanessa White
Mrs White works as a school nurse at BCS. She thoroughly enjoys the challenge of school nursing! She has been nursing for many years and has worked in a variety of places. She has two children, aged 14 and 18, so has a good idea of both the problems and pleasure that children bring! She loves reading and swims and walks when she has the time.
Mrs Maxine Masding
Mrs M is part of the school nurse team. She lives in Poole and enjoys cycling and playing football on the beach with her family! She loves the summer as her husband does a mean BBQ and is especially looking forward to August so she can use her new season ticket to watch AFC Bournemouth. She also loves going to the cinema and spending time with family and friends.
