It has been another strong set of GCSE results from BCS again this year.

There were many outstanding individual performances and much to be proud of across the year group. 80% of pupils achieved a C Grade ( or equivalent) and above, making it the 3rd best set of results in the School’s recent history. The girls did achieve a school record with just under 90% of them gaining a pass or above in their results, a brilliant outcome for them.

The Headmaster Mr Russell Slatford, said ‘BCS continues to perform well at GCSE and I am very pleased with the results for this group across their subjects. GCSEs have become more challenging this year and these results reflect the hard work and commitment the students have shown. This talented group have contributed widely to the success of BCS over the last few years and I am delighted that so many are continuing their education with us into Year 12’. The future looks very bright indeed for the school with this group at the heart of the BCS Sixth Form’ for the foreseeable future’

Top performers to note were Jamie Q with 8 grades at A* / A / 7+ and Abigail A and Rayhan B with 7 grades A*-A / 7+ and above. Very impressive results and to be applauded.

21% A*-A or 7+ | 80% A*- C or 4+ | 98% A*- E or 2+

A number of the pupils getting their results today have come through from the Prep. We were reminded last week on A Level result day that Ester McGraddie had been at BCS / Uplands since Year 3. It is an incredible team effort and every member of our staff plays their part in our successes and achievements. We are very grateful to all for the hard work and considerable dedication shown to the pupils, their parents and BCS.

Interesting article from Sir Richard Branson today to make everyone feel ok!
