19 March 2021
On Friday 19th March we celebrated Red Nose Day in aid of Comic Relief. This year it has never felt more important to have some fun and to raise some money to support people living incredibly tough lives.
We used the ‘Power of Funny’ to raise money that will make a lasting change. We asked children to come to school dressed in a way that will make others smile. Take a look at some fantastic costumes and red noses we spotted throughout the day!
Here were some of the best jokes we heard throughout the day:
“What do you call a pair of robbers?... A pair of knickers!” From Jacob, Reception
“What do you call a monkey at the North Pole?... Lost!” From Zachy, Reception
“What do you call a sheep with no legs?... A cloud!” From Elizabeth, Year 1
"Why does Humpty Dumpty do so well in school? ... Because he is an egghead!" From Hattie, Year 2
“How do you get Pikachu onto the bus?... You Pok-em-on!” From Theo, Year 3
“What did the tree say to the other tree? ... Bark you later!” From Elise, Year 4
“What do you call a man with no shins? TONY!” From Jack, Year 6
Thank you to all families for supporting our donations appeal; we raised an outstanding grand total of £400.00 for Comic Relief! Wow!
