BCS have recently been given the green light to an exciting new partnership with AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust. The partnership will link the highly successful BCS Football Academy with the Premier League club in order to support, develop and contribute to the continual development of the players within its program.
BCS Director of Football, Tom Symons, said about the partnership “It is a really exciting time for football at BCS. To have a Premier League club working alongside us is fantastic but even better that its right on our door step. We have already agreed many exciting initiatives for both the Senior School and the Prep School and I can’t wait to get things started in September”.
The partnership, that officially begins in September, will see AFC Bournemouth coaches come into both schools and support the delivery of football during Football Academy sessions, but also during prep games with the Premier League Primary Stars program and after school clubs.
There will also be a big focus surrounding girls’ football, with the senior school looking to provide football coaching opportunities for all age groups during PE and games. This is an amazing opportunity for the school with girls’ football growing and becoming more popular. There will also be an opportunity for talented individuals to links into the AFC BournemouthGirls Player Pathway.
AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust will also be looking to make an impact across other areas of the school. There will be opportunities with numeracy and literacy, along with support through various topics including internet safety, road safety, healthy lifestyles and respect. The club have given BCS access to some of their expertise in finance, events and marketing amongst others which could assist our Sixth Form students in those chosen subjects.
AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust will become a visible partner across both schools and we are extremely excited about getting things going. For more information regarding the new partnership of football at BCS, please contact Tom Symons, Director of Football (email@example.com).
Steve Cuss, Head of Community Sports Trust at AFCB said “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Bournemouth Collegiate School and are looking forward to delivering sessions at the school and with the football academy.”
