National Day Of Reflection

23 March 2021

On March 23rd 2021, exactly one year since lockdown began in the UK, we decorated the school and held a two-minute silence for the Marie Curie National Day of Reflection.

We paused during our school day as a mark of respect, and a tribute to families who have lost loved ones during the coronavirus pandemic.

We thought about the events that have taken place over the last year, and how our lives have changed. It is important that we remember why we are still working so hard to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at school and at home.

Our pupils spent the week creating their own hand-made, hand-painted paper Daffodils. These will be on display around the school site for the rest of the week as a symbol of memory, new beginnings and hope for the coming year.
