JAMES’ GINETTA JUNIOR RACE SYNOPSIS

08 October 2018

Even though James is still the second youngest driver on the grid, it is fair to say that he has proved his pace behind the wheel this year.

In his ‘Rookie’ first season, James has had three outright pole positions, two lap records and ten podiums. An impressive achievement considering he had little testing opportunities due to finance restrictions.

As you are aware the average budget for this formula is £200,000 and we did it on £80,000 with a lot of help from our friends – which definitely incudes BCS and a special thank you to Hayley who supported him in his gym sessions.

To summarise, James has made his mark in the motorsport world as every Ginetta Team wants him for next year.

However, the biggest European race team outside Formula One; Carlin Motorsport want him to join their academy – Formula 4, Formula 3 etc.  To put this into perspective, this is like being asked to join Eton and a true honour.

However, this option for the moment remains a dream as the budget is out of our reach, but James has a special talent so we will never give up hope.

Sincere thanks once again.

Gray and James
