Are You Ready for Sixth Form?
After the well-deserved break after taking your GCSEs or
courses abroad you will be ready to embark on the next stage of your
education. You are now able to study the
subjects that interest you in greater depth.
You will have opportunities to develop a more self-guided approach to
your studies as A levels require you to research more widely, explore more
deeply, and work at a much faster pace.
At BCS we recognise that there is a monumental jump from
GCSE to A level, and we are here to help and support you. Your Heads of Sixth Form have their office in
the heart of the sixth form centre, they are hugely approachable and they work
closely with the sixth form tutors and subject teachers to monitor your
progress and to support you to bridge the gap between GCSE’s and A Levels.
You need to be ready for the sixth form to succeed. This means you need to be prepared to work
harder, involve yourself more, and remain in control of your studies and daily
routines. If you find this hard, and
many will, then BCS will help you, our staff are trained to notice your
anxieties and to support you through them.
As we have such a welcoming and friendly sixth form,
everyone looks out for everyone else, so you are able to make the most of your
sixth form experience.
