General Guidance
There will be some flexibility during the transitional term to Christmas 2009, but thereafter we hope to have the new uniform in place. There are no prescriptions as to the book bags or rucksacks used.

BCS plaid skirt. Please note that the skirt length must be such that the full knee does not show. Girls will therefore need to be present when skirts are purchased: if they are not present, stockists will indicate this on the invoice.

Hair styles must not draw attention to the pupil
All hair must be out of the eyes
Girls’ hair needs to be tied off the face
Boys’ hair may not totally cover the ear and must be short at the back
No make-up may be worn by girls until Year 11, when only a discreet amount may be worn
Boys may not wear any visible piercing
Girls may not wear any visible piercing except for one plain gold or silver stud earring in the lower lobe of each ear (this needs to be removed or covered for PE/Games)
No bracelets, necklaces, rings, bangles or chains may be worn
