Alice (Y8), who trains with our Swimming Academy has had her most successful DSE Short Course Nationals to date.

Over the weekend the 12 year old Swimmer competed in 6 events: 100m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 100m Butterfly, 400m Freestyle, 200m Individual Medley and 50 Freestyle clocking up 4 medals.

What makes Alice's achievements even greater is that this was an Open Age Group competition where she was competing against athletes 7 years older than her.

Coach Adam Parfitt said  "Alice has had a very strong Short Course Nationals. The times she has achieved are very promising for the rest of the Season. Alice has been focussed all weekend & set herself achievable targets which she has achieved above & beyond. New goals will now be set as Alice continues her hard work into Paralympic trials."
