The BCS Water Sports Academy has taken another step forwards with the launch of a new 6-week surfing course to be run as an after-school activity by Brad Petrus from the Sorted Surf Shop in Boscombe. More than 60 pupils have signed up, and hope to gain a basic qualification before the weather becomes too challenging - with the aim of being offered other opportunities in the Spring and Summer. All the instructors involved are fully-qualified B.S.A. Surf Coaches and qualified Beach Lifeguards. The surf school is directly in front of Europe's first and only artificial surfing reef, just a few minutes from the Senior School.
