Build a Bear!
On Tuesday 5th October Year 3 visited the ‘Build
a Bear Workshop’ in Bournemouth. It was great! We went to build a bear as part
of our PSHE topic ‘Building Relationships’. The parent helpers and staff at the
workshop commented on how well behaved and organised the children were. After
having chosen our animal to stuff, Year 3 took turns with the foot pedal
controlling the stuffing being pumped inside the animal. Next we named him
‘Charlie’. Charlie is a black belt at karate, has a back pack to carry all his
school equipment in and can tie his own shoe laces! All of the children- and
all the adults- placed a heart into our toy; we promise to love and care for
him, help him with his homework and stop him feeling lonely. Charlie the monkey
will be a fantastic hook for the children in many curriculum areas but moreover
will provide another positive reward basis for the children. Thank you bear
factory for letting us adopt Charlie!
