Convention time

In April, Year 12 attended a UCAS Convention at Bournemouth University. The convention brought together universities and colleges, facilitating the largest opportunity that prospective students have to speak with representatives from many higher education institutions. The convention offered our year 12 opportunities to talk with university staff directly, ask questions or discuss choices or simply collect a range of literature of the courses on offer and university brochures. A number of lectures were also held on various topics such as filling the UCAS application form or Student finance. The event also gave our Y12 the added bonus of experiencing a morning at University which they thoroughly enjoyed. Parents and year 12 pupils were also invited to an UCAS presentation at BCS to find out more about the admissions process.
