Geographers in the field
All of the Year 10 geographers have been collecting data on
the beach at Hengistbury Head. This
information is now being used for their first Controlled Assessment.
Clinometers, ranging poles, tape measures and dog biscuits were used to investigate
beach profiles, sediment sizes, longshore drift and cliff characteristics.
After working hard throughout the day, most chose to have an ice cream/bacon
roll at the Hungry Hiker before returning to school. Good luck to all of them
as they now complete the written assessment.
