Making a Difference
Bournemouth Collegiate School pupils will be visiting Nepal for two and a half weeks over Easter 2010. The trip will take in many of the sights of the beautiful country, including a five-day trek in the Himalaya Mountains, an elephant safari in Royal Chitwan National Park and white water rafting. However, rather than just being on a sight-seeing tour, students will also be working in local Nepalese schools teaching English to primary-age pupils. Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world and education is seen as the main way to break out of poverty.
