New Facilities
The Collegiate Prep has been progressively refurbished throughout the year and all the classrooms have been redecorated; new changing rooms have been built; the science laboratories, art and impressive design and technology rooms have all been upgraded; the dining room has been redeveloped; a new library has been built; and the school is currently working on its outdoor educational facilities after having received a grant to develop learning outside the classroom. The assembly hall has been totally refurbished and a new music room has been created.
At the Senior School the change is even more tangible, with major building projects culminating in the completion of a £2 million development of a new boarding house within the main school building and a number of other significant upgrades. These include a new film and media room; new recording studio; upgraded art centre; upgrades to the library to create a Learning Resource Centre; wireless technology throughout; a new roof and floor for the large sports hall; upgrades to the 25m indoor swimming pool; two new ICT suites and a new seminar room.
Still more exciting is the massive £7 million redevelopment planned for the Science area, Art School, Music School, Film and Media Suite, Dance Studio, Fitness Centre, additional new classrooms, catering and Reception/Administration areas now being planned by United Church Schools Trust - the initial architects' plans are stunning.
