FACILITIES 

BCS has excellent sporting facilities, and the golden sandy beach used extensively by our coaches, 5 minutes’ walk away, adds a unique and exciting dimension to our sports ‘facilities’.

The school has two indoor swimming pools, including a 25 m indoor pool used by our national level swimming academy on the senior school site.

The school has excellent new tennis and netball courts, and we use the West Hants Tennis Club facility for our tennis academy.

Both prep and senior sites have indoor sports halls. The large four badminton court senior sports hall have been supported with a brand new floor and roof in September 2011, and also includes an Olympic sized basketball court, volleyball courts, indoor hockey and indoor football courts.

A conditioning suite supports the BCS sports programme and is located adjacent to the sports hall on the senior site, and includes indoor rowers, cycles and weights.

Football coaching and matches are played on site; while rugby matches are played on extensive fields 5 minutes from BCS (practices on the BCS site).

Cricket is played at our Dean Park facility, the ex-county cricket ground.　BCS has sole use of this facility in partnership with Bournemouth University. BCS and Bournemouth University sport have close links and a strong working relationship.

The school has an astro for 5 a side football and hockey skills coaching, and all matches are played on the large astro facility at Chapel Gate, home of Bournemouth Hockey Club and the BCS Home Ground venue.

Cross country uses the beach and surrounding areas, while athletics uses the Dean Park facility with a 400m track.
